The Anatomy Of A Problem

Have you ever wondered what a Problem really is? Don’t worry if you haven’t, most people never even consider “what” Problems are… which is funny because most people end up try to deal with something that they don’t even understand.

What would it be like if you actually did understand your Problem(s)? How much easier would it be to deal with them if you knew what they were?

This series will guide you discovering what problems really are. I’ll also be showing you how a few of the tools from the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) can help to deal with problems and negative states.

PS: This section (when it’s complete) will become a downloadable eBook. Right now, just enjoy reading it online…

      Hi Linda,

Thanks for your comment – I really appreciate it.

I’m actually in the process of setting up the Membership site (right this minute) and unfortunately… it uses PayPal. Hmm… that’s thrown a spanner in the works.

You’ve got me curious about your “bad experience” – is this something that you can enlighten us all with?

A brief overview with an explanation can help others to think and consider carefully about whether they want to use PayPal or not.

Also… what are you using as an alternative? I’m sure that some other people might be able to add to this discussion.

Personally, I’ve been lucky with PayPal and not really had any problems (other than user error and not using it properly!).

Please do let us know – it will help me to think of other alternative ways to overcome the issue. But first… we have to know what the issue actually is!

      Cheers,

      Zain

Zain, I broke down and cried when I saw the face pressed against the bubble in the bubble execise because that is the way I’ve been feeling, trapped inside a bubble. But as I continued to read I could clearly see that I can remain trapped inside the bubble or I can choose to see myself outside the bubble. Then I smiled from the inside out! Truthfully I was at the end of my robe tonight ready to throw in the towel. Somehow I stumbled upon your website. The universe is helping me after all! I want to become a NLP Master Practitioner.

    Thank you!

      Hi Deatria,

I’m glad that my post helped you to see that there’s actually a “choice” in Life. It’s funny that most of us don’t realise it or, in some circumstances, even “choose to stay trapped”. There’s many reasons why we do – most of them stem from that old saying “Better the Devil you know!”. Often, we’d rather stay inside the “problem bubble”, only because we’re not sure what else there is… or what the possibilities *could be*. And there are many possibilities, if you choose to make a positive choice!

The key is to remember that most of what we tell ourselves inside our own heads – that inner voice – is really nothing more than a story. It’s a fantastically, amazing and truly believable story that’s supported by our experiences and also the other people who re-affirm them. But it doesn’t have to be. I quite like those sayings like “Change the script” – it’s *Your* life, and you’re the author of it… so why not make it an excellent story, with a happy ending!

In terms of the “Problem Bubble”, it’s possible to go outside of it. As with the other exercises, all you do is to imagine the positive or negative event and then “Dissociate” yourself from it. Step outside the bubble in your mind’s eye – leave the emotions inside the bubble – but just have a look at it from a different perspective, like a fly-on-wall, or a documentary film-maker. What you’ll experience is something like a movie… you just watch the events and see the characters in the storyline. From this position, it’s possible to look at that old event and learn something new from it.

I’ll be discussing more about “Learnings” in the near future. At the moment, I have quite a bit of work to do on the site… so keep an eye out for that!

Good luck with popping your bubbles! And I hope the Universe brings better things to you in future, as you begin your journey with a new and positive mindset!

      Cheers,

      Zain
